Attribution model

You may have different marketing channels with different attribution models. For example, your Meta is 7-day click+1day view-through, your Klaviyo email is 5 day. So when you want to measure each channel's performance as a whole, you may want to custom an attribution model for all your marketing channels.

How it works

  1. Input a model name

  2. Choose an attribution model from our existing models.

  3. Select an attribution window from 1/7/30/60/90/180 days

  4. Multi-select traffic channels you want to calculate.

  5. Click Save and you may wait up to 48 hours to see this model in all attribution pages.

Conversion goals

Why do I need conversion goals?

You have many goals for your marketing events.

  • You want to know key conversions for your campaigns. i.e. page view, add to cart, checkout process.

  • You have a new product launch campaign, you want to know the key conversions just for the new product.

conversion is one most important measurements to evaluate your marketing activities. Previously you need complicated code jobs to track these conversions, and the conversion data of Shopify is frequently different from Google Analytics or other tools.

The conversion goals of Attribuly make it accurate and easy to set up.

How to use conversion goal?

There are 5 goals by default, which you can't edit or delete. You may want to create custom goals. A maximum of 20 goals in total are supported.

For event type: product viewed, product_added_to_cart, checkout_started, checkout_completed. You may select specific products as a goal; all the products are listed in the drop-down box. The total price will be set as conversion value automatically.

The default and custom goals are available in all channel attribution, ads attribution, and influencer attribution page.

Custom domain

How to Set up

  1. Go to " Settings"

  2. Click " Custom domain"

  3. Add custom domain

  4. Enter your custom domain. And choose the domain type.

  • Subdomain: Such as "s.attribuly.com" is a subdomain of attribuly.com

  • New domain: You use a totally new root domain for your short links, such as attribuly.com

  1. Input your 404 page in case this link is unavailable.

  2. Configure DNS.

If you use a subdomain:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar's website, and select the domain you want to modify.

  2. Find the section for managing DNS entries.

  3. Create a new type CNAME record with a name 's(this follows your subdomain's name' and value 'cname.short.io'. Save changes. So you will see a new record:s CNAME cname.short.io

If you use a new domain:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar's website, and select the domain you want to modify.

  2. Find the section for managing DNS entries

  3. Edit the existing A Records for your site, Set the IP addresses to 52.21.33.16 and 52.2.56.64, and ensure the Hostname is the character “@” or your base domain (both mean the same thing).

  4. If there is only one A Record or none, add more. So you will see two new records: @ A 52.21.33.16 @ A 52.2.56.64

  1. Verify your domain. There are 3 statuses:

  • Draft: The domain has not been in the verification process.

  • Verifying: The domain is in the verification process. It may take 1-2 hours for a DNS update. Attribuly will keep on querying the status.

  • Verified: The custom domain is configured successfully, now you can use it for your short links.

Note:

  1. Only 1 custom domain is supported in every store.

Referral exclusion list

The referral source in this list will be ignored, and it will not participate in the attribution calculation, including the subdomains and parent domain.

By default, Attribuly put these domains in the exclusion list.

If you add or delete a record, the list will update for conversions after your setting.

If you want to calculate your attribution for historic data, please feel free to contact us.
