Introduction

The Snapchat Conversions API destination integrates with Attribuly to enable advertisers to send eCommerce events directly to Snap. The data shared via this API is processed similarly to events passed through the Snap Pixel. Advertisers can use this integration to access post-view and post-swipe campaign reporting, measure performance and incrementality, as well as utilize the data for custom audience targeting, campaign optimization, Dynamic Ads, and more.

The Snapchat Conversions API destination offers the following advantages:

  • Clear data mapping: Actions-based destinations allow you to specify the mapping between the data Attribuly receives from your source and the data Segment sends to Snap.

  • Prebuilt mappings: Snap event types such as PURCHASE and ADD_CART have prebuilt mappings with prescribed parameters.

  • Streamlined stability and security: Integration and iteration are possible without client-side limitations such as network connectivity or ad blocker issues.

  • Privacy focus: Compliance with evolving requirements is supported through automatic PII hashing and flexible controls for data sharing.

  • Data normalization: Data is normalized before hashing to ensure consistency across sources and compliance with Snap data requirements.

  • Maximum event measurement: Improved accuracy in capturing events across different browsers, apps, and devices provides a unified view of the customer’s journey from page view to purchase.
